ROOTS OF REVOLUTION

The roots of revolution are impossible to destroy.

Africa is the source of all creation: a

continent and vanguard in civilization.

Human ancestors accelerated agricultural revolution

by understanding our connection to this planet.

We know that women were on the frontlines there too!

They cultivated an abundant supply of food

as plowers, gatherers, and innovators.

Community efforts are an ancient survival technique.

We provided for each other.

Foresight saved humanity across the world.

Secret societies worshipped nature

and co-existed well with it.

Village transformed to cities eventually.

Some settlements have existed for thousands

of years, like Saharan cities which

co-exist with the surrounding desert.

Ancient architecture inspires in its

incredibly eco-collaborative design.

Commerce brought a new aspect to

global interaction: money, power.

Djenné, Mali

Djenne was a flourishing city since the later BCE

era, on Niger's River Delta.

It sits on old trans-Sahelian trade routes by

Muslim cartographers: African and beyond.

This crossroads is where the slave trades'

greed mapped out generational devastation.

Goree (Senegal) was the central shipping port

for over 20 million human beings once.

History repeats itself if we don't learn from our mistakes.

An estimated 60 million in the Maafa were killed.

Continual dehumanization and land disruption

left a permanent effect on Central-West Africa.

Colonialism still hinders African progress with

false "Green Revolution" and uses

Africa as a resource hub till this day

(The Washington Post).

Activists from the public health sector

to food sovereignty alliances have agreed:

this extraction model is not sustainable.

What is the solution to increasingly severe destruction

around the world, especially for our motherland?

Nicole Kali is here alongside other progressive

people in the African diaspora.

Revolution lives in their roots.

They will decide what a collective future looks like,

no one President or world leader.

Consensus is coming by the People's Council...

"Whereas the world is faced with major human,

environmental, and climate crises, it is urgent to

change course and turn to a development

model based on truly sustainable

practices, equity, and justice," says the

Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa!

A pandemic has caused unprecedented death.

Climate change is still pressing us to act.

Hope exists through the voices for peace among us.

Remember that as dark days lie ahead.
